Henderson artists and residents often find themselves discussing the need for growth and revitalization in the downtown area. We're not alone. It would seem downtown Las Vegas, with the development of the Smith Center for the Performing Arts and the 18b Arts District, is on the same page and on the cusp of a cultural surge. In fact, they may be a couple of steps ahead. It's not a competition. Any progress to that end in this whole region is a benefit to all of us.
